Our recommendation

We recommend matching the door seal to the jamb color on woodgrain doors.

Return trips cost extra

If jambs are not finished at the time of install and we have to return to install weather seal, there will be an additional charge.

Install Toward the End of Your Project

We recommend installing your door toward the end of your project.

Below are common issues we find when doors are installed prematurely or before ceilings and walls are finished:

  1. 01Dented sections due to tradesmen.
  2. 02Drywallers removing backdrops and not putting them back in the correct spot.
  3. 03Drywall dust gets in rollers, bearings and hinges, causing wear and noisy operation of the door and operator.
  4. 04Drywall dust and mud get on the door. Have drywallers cover the door, track and springs prior to finishing drywall.
